Sweet, Sassy & Sleepy!

Oh my sweet Amaia! The ways you make us smile and laugh!! You bring excitement to the most boring days and your giggles and squeals lighten our lives.

Here she is, just being her...personality shining bright:)

Amaia & Sorren....

My sister in-law Becky & I must have been drinking the same water back in 2008 because I recall visiting with her in September and talking about how fun it would be if we were to get pregnant at the same time. Turns out that two months later I was and unbeknownst to her, so was she! Becky managed to make it 5 whole months before she discovered that she was actually pregnant and we ended up due within 10 days of each other! It was great to have her support while going through the ups and downs of being preggers! It was also great to have someone to bounce any worries or concerns off of as well as all the comparisons. The major difference was that she was having a little boy and us a little girl, but the most exciting part was that our babies would get the opportunity to grow up together as cousins and friends...only 12 days apart in age!

Oh how I love the way the universe works!!! These two little angels have blessed our lives!

Many days of Amaia & Sorren having so much fun together :)

Amaia on the move...

Amaia hit so many milestones at 6 months it completely caught us off guard. She learned how to sit up on her own from a laying down position, sit without support, pull herself into a standing position from sitting, army crawl and then on her 7 month birthday actually crawled for the 1st time. The transition happened way too quick for us and now that she's on the move there's absolutely no stopping her! Even the bruises on here knees aren't phasing her (hardwoods). Needless to say she is advanced! We're in chase mode now, but loving that fact that she's become so independent and so is she! She loves to spend her days testing our "NO's", playing and exploring. We are now baby proofing in full force!!!

1st foods....

Maia has really enjoyed the introduction of 1st foods. Rice cereal is one of her least favorites, but she does love bananas and pears! We've had a hard time getting her to eat veggies but we did get sneaky and start mixing them into her fruits. We definitely have a picky eater on our hands...guess she takes after her Dad! I love all her reactions and funny faces!

Happiest Holidays

The Holiday season is always a really special time for us. After Christmas 2008, we were really looking forward to spending 2009 together and making it memorable.
Here are some highlights...
She is the most precious Christmas gift that one could ever wish for!

Playing Catch up - Rolling over

Catching up on all the milestones!
Maia has always been extremely active! Even when I was pregnant. She's always in constant motion and actually rolled over for the 1st time on 10/15/2009. It took her a little longer to roll from her back to her tummy but that occured on 11/21/2009...at 3.5 mos old. Here are some pix of her in action :)
